Khaye

Isang Araw ng Linggo sa Buhay ng mga Manggagawa sa Abuja, Nigeria
As is the case in every family, every single event is celebrated. The Filipino Migrants family celebrated Joy Khaye’s natal day. Being fully ‘adopted’ into the family, a small gathering was cooked-up last Sunday Oct. 16 (her actual birthday is Oct. 14).

A House Blessing

Isang Araw ng Linggo sa Buhay ng mga Manggagawa sa Abuja Nigeria

'Twas a beautiful Sunday especially for a house blessing. Maebs working with Julius Berger Nigeria PLC had moved from her house at Jabi Rd JBN Life Camp to a bigger house at  Maitama Rd. The transformation of the house was really a work of art.
As her mother Maris commented: 'You mean all THOSE stuff that are inside your former house at Jabi road are now actually in this house?' How'd you manage to squeeze all those in that former house of yours?'
It's really quite a feat - only a young lady like Maebs can do.
Fr. Andrew conducted the house blessing participated by family and friends.
Ampy and Fr. Andrew definitely conversing in Italian - background ni Efren at ni Sr. MaryGrace
Before the house blessing: Angie and Sr. Aurea; Noel, Rex, Sherwin and Bernie; AT ang mga guardian angels ni sister: si Doods, si Lito at si Nino
Nino, Efren and Fr. Andrew: no be same same Korean? na so!; Here's JT with the new 'inaanak' -  Nino!
...the house blessing commences: here at the main entrance, friends lighting candles
Literally the portal of one's abode, the prayers are for the physical and spiritual well-being of the tenant.
Prayers that the occupant and guests who visit this house be safe from any harm; sprinkling of the holy water
Blessing the living room

Blessings for the bedroom that after a hard day's work, this place would be a haven of rest; and the bathroom symbolic of body cum spiritual cleansing...
