SPORTS is definitely a binder. As the month-long competition
ended, all the participants - athletes and spectators and cheerers and
supporters can look back with satisfaction and eye for future events. All
the misgivings, sweat, scrapes, stiff necks, hoarse throats, sun-burnt faces
were all wiped out.
This sports fest was conceived by the current PPA President Eugene John
Hernandez ably supported by his executive council inspired by last years
successful Ambassador Basketball League spearheaded by Willy Brual.
The concerted effort of this young set of officers yielded a strong bond
among the OFWS. As their main goal is for a unified PPA, they certainly
achieved this.

The Champions
To be CHAMPIONS mean teamwork, cheerful disposition when faced with serious
threat, pleasure in sharing the limelight, the desire to play for the sheer joy
of exerting the best effort for the team but most of all - exhibiting fair play
- the spirit of sportsmanship.
VOLLEYBALL
This is the culmination of the games. Blue vs Green team was a
very tight race for the trophy. Both teams exhibited the determination to edge
out the opponent in the blistering heat. Melanie Pastor of the Blue team
was a newcomer to the game. As she was encouraged by the teammates, she
actually helped in her serve. As Renz hinted'...she is our secret weapon...'
much to the delight of the blue team supporters. Supporters of both teams encouraged
their favored team. But admiration and applause were showered to each one who scored. A CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, INDEED!
