Post Halloween Celebrations
The Philippine Embassy in Abuja Nigeria hosted yet again another
wonderful event – a post Halloween celebration. The embassy compound was made
to appear ‘spooky’ by the embassy staff. Such creativity and humor. OFWS came
and simply enjoyed the night. Teofie Infante of the embassy of Finland catered
the food – favorite of which is the LECHON. The food must have given out a
delightful aroma that even those who came late just went straight to the dining
table – such is Teofie’s gastronomic appeal.
Philippine Ambassador Alex V. Lamadrid enjoined the OFWS to also pray
for the safety of his predecessor Amb. Nestor Padalhin in Syria. Pusong-Pinoy
Association President John Hernandez likewise in his address called for a
unified community. And of course, prayers to offer for our departed loved ones.
It was quite an amusing sight to see the transformation of 'humans' to creepy 'creatures of the night' and folklores' inhabitants come to life...
